Black Forest 2000 - Southern Black Forest

short tour description/route characteristics

The Black Forest is an ideal area for motorcycling! The descents into the valley and the ascents to the heights offer endless fun in the curves. Predominantly little driven you can let your heart (and your gas hand) run free

The tour leads first on small roads to Hornberg and via Langenschiltach to St. Georgen. Further on via Furtwangen, the route leads over wonderful curve combinations steeply downhill. Shortly before the bottom of the valley a small road branches off to the left. Via Wildgutach and Glashütte the path reaches the upper Glottertal. There it turns left and continues to Neustadt. Via Lenzkirch, past the Schluchsee and Menzenschwand, the trail continues in a wild curve hunt towards Todtnau. But already the next highlight follows: The way to the Münstertal. A well-maintained road leads uphill and then downhill again just as spectacularly. A few kilometres further on, a small road leads up towards Schauinsland. Via Hofsgrund and Kirchzarten it goes back up to Glottertal. In St. Märgen turn left and continue to enjoy the Black Forest roads. Finally the dream road up to the Kandel (beautiful viewpoint). Down into the valley, the route leads via Elzach to Oberprechtal. Here follows another delicacy: The road to Gutach (best to turn around and do it again!). Passing the open-air museum Vogtsbauernhof (very worth seeing) we return to Kirnbach and the starting point of the tour.
