Black Forest 2000 - Northern Black Forest

short tour description/route characteristics

The Black Forest is an ideal area for motorcycling! The ascents to the heights and the descents down to the valley offer endless curve fun. Predominantly little driven you can let your heart (and your gas hand) run free.

The tour leads first on a small road steeply uphill and then just as steeply down into the Kinzig valley. A detour in Schiltach is worthwhile every time! The market place with its wonderful half-timbered houses - simply beautiful! Via Reinerzau the route continues towards Freudenstadt. Before that, however, the route leads steeply downhill in the direction of Wolfach and then just as steeply up to the Black Forest High Street. Freudenstadt is bypassed on the left and reached Simmersfeld via Baiersbronn, Besenfeld and the ore mine (Nagold dam). Via Kaltenbronn the route leads to Gernsbach, past Eberstein Castle towards Baden-Baden. The subsequent path over the Rote Lache to Forbach - a pleasure! But it goes on immediately! Turn right towards Schwarzwaldhochstraße, along the Schwarzbachtalsperre, down to Bühlertal. Again up to the Schwarzwaldhochstraße and down to Sasbachwalden, via Seebach up again! Immediately downhill again to Allerheiligen and Oppenau, via Bad Peterstal further towards Wolfach. Finally - on small roads - up to the Brandenkopf (observation tower) and via Hausach back to the starting point
