The route first leads along Lake Brienz to Interlaken. Turning south it goes up to Grindelwald. Before reaching the village, the north face of the Eiger can be admired on the right - simply impressive! Continuing uphill we reach the foot of the upper Grindelwald glacier. This is where the road for public transport ends - the only way to continue is by bus. After this short visit we return to the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Direction Lauterbrunnen and on to Stechelberg. If there is still enough time, a visit to the Trümmelbach waterfalls is worthwhile. Back to Interlaken, we first head towards Beatenberg. Shortly after, the path branches off to the right towards Habkern. At the entrance to the village, a small toll road branches off to the left (signposted "Bort"), which offers wonderful views of the triumvirate of the Bernese Oberland (Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau). Through Beatenberg, the route continues to Sigriswil. Turn right there in the direction of "Schwanden". The further course of the tour via Meiersmaad (a few kilometres after the village, turn right towards "Horrenbach") and Eriz is very narrow but extremely attractive. Over the Schallenberg (1167 m) and Escholzmatt we finally reach the Glaubenbüelenpass (1611 m) - also quite narrow but with great views of the Sarnensee. Once in the valley, we turn right to the Lungernsee and finally over the Brünigpass (1008 m) back to Meiringen.
